We do six monthly audits; from which we have concluded that our complication rates are minimal with a 2% chance of infection which is easily treated by antibiotics.
There is a 1-2% chance of further operation in hospital under general anaesthetic as a result of any bleeding or scar tissue stricture formation.
Evidently these rates are very low and thus reflect our high level of expertise.
